There is a ski school within the resort just in case anyone wants to improve their ability, and there is also a rental ski shop where you can rent all your equipment if needed. There is a tubing park and also cross country skiing is available. Other activities include dog sledding and snowshoeing. Whilst it may not have the largest range of activities, there is still plenty to do and there is a daycare centre at an additional cost if needed. Dining options are extremely good with Italian, grilled food, après ski menus and salads and deli options. You should find something to suit both our budget and your tastes! Mt Hood MeadowsThe Mt Hood Meadows resort is situated in Portland, Oregon, and it offers 2,150 acres of ski able terrain. There is a massive 430 inches of annual snowfall and the resort is mainly aimed at intermediate and advanced skiers, though there is also terrain available for beginners and experts.Activities include cross country skiing, snowshoeing trails, night skiing, and snowboarding. Overall the Mt Hood Meadows resort is one of the best Oregon skiing resorts to visit. Mt Hood SkibowlThe Mt Hood Skibowl is situated in Portland, Oregon and it boasts the best night skiing in America. There are 960 ski able areas of terrain and 300 acres of outback terrain.There are day care services if needed and skiing lessons too if you want to improve your ability. If you want to take part in more than just skiing, the snow tube and adventure park should suit you. With an indoor play area for children, a tubing hill, snow bike facilities and winter sleigh rides to name a few, there is something for all ages within the park. Dining wise there are a number of options available to you and there is something for all tastes. There is also plenty of accommodation and you should find something to suit your budget. Overall the resort is definitely one of the best in Oregon and it is fast becoming more and more popular each year. Spout Springs Ski ResortThis resort is situated in the heart of the Blue Mountains, Oregon, and it has an annual snowfall of 300 inches. There are 11 trails so it isn't an overly big resort, and there are just 250 ski able acres of terrain. It is mainly aimed at beginners and its longest run is 4,000 feet.There is an average priced restaurant on the site which offers a warm, cozy atmosphere and it also offers good beer too. The resort has been used for Olympic training in the past, and they have good programs for children available. The surrounding towns have some good shops and restaurants also. However, on site there aren't really any amenities or many accommodation choices. Summit Ski AreaThe Summit Ski Area is situated in Mt Hood, Oregon, and it offers a variety of different activities including cross country skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. There is a ski school in case you and your family want to improve your skills, and there is tubing available too for great family fun.This really isn't a big ski area and its summit is only 400 vertical feet. The price however is extremely cheap, and that is what brings visitors back year after year. There are hardly any amenities there and the lodging and dining options are also really limited. However, it is great for skiing! Overall, Mt Hood Meadows and Mt Bachelor are the best resorts to go for in Oregon.
