Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort: Jewel of British Columbia

Whistler Blackcomb is situated in British Columbia, Canada, and it boasts over 8,100 ski able acres of terrain. With a total of 200 trails and 33 lifts, there really is something for everybody's ability level.
The two mountains in the resort (Whistler and Blackcomb), are connected by a pedestrian village and they contain twelve alpine bowls. There are also three glaciers which are perfect for advanced skiers.

The Available Accommodation

At the Whistler Blackcomb resort, there are a number of different types of accommodation to choose from. So whatever your budget, or personal taste, there is bound to be a Whistler Blackcomb accommodation type for you! These include:
Small Mountain Inns
There are four small mountain inns altogether throughout the resorts including the ever popular 'Chalet Luise'. This picturesque chalet is situated just 10 minutes walk from the Whistler village, and it boasts a three star bed and breakfast. It is perfect for those who are looking for a quiet, relaxing accommodation. One of the best features of this chalet is its well kept gardens which are ideal to relax in. Its amenities include an outdoor hot tub, guest parking and complementary tea and coffee. What more could a guest ask for?

'Cedar Springs' is also one of the popular small mountain inns, and it also offers a place to relax after a hard days skiing. There is a wonderful crackling fire to keep you cozy, and they provide homemade Gluewein, which is basically mulled spiced wine. This bed and breakfast is open all year around, but it is particularly cozy in winter. Its amenities include an indoor and an outdoor hot tub, a guest lunge with TV, fireplace and VCR, as well as a shuttle which takes you to the lifts.

The other two small mountain inns 'Inn at Cliff Top Lane' and 'Edgewater Lodge' are also really goods...

Hotels

There are quite a few different hotels scattered around the resort including in Whistler village, Village North, Pemberton, and Squamish.

One of the best hotels within the resort is the 'Four Seasons Resort Whistler'. It contains 273 guest rooms and it provides each guest with superb luxury. With gas burning fireplaces and cozy wood interiors, this hotel really does offer a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. Its amenities include high-speed internet access, work areas and a pool and a steam room. There are also many other amenities which make this hotel one of the best to lodge in throughout your stay.

Legend's is another popular choice and it offers guests a complete escape from the slopes, as well as undisputed luxury. It has a hip, contemporary feel to it with a laid back, mountain ambiance. Its amenities include a whirlpool, an Alpine club lounge, shared laundry and a maid service.

Finally, another really great place to stay is the 'Coast Whistler Hotel'. Offering its guests 192 beautifully decorated rooms with high speed internet access, and an array of fantastic amenities, it is no wonder this is one of the best hotels to stay in. Its amenities include a heated outdoor pool, a hot tub, a steam room, a fitness room, and an on-site shiatsu massage.
Condominiums
Condominiums can be found in four different places throughout the resort. Whis tler village is home to 3 main condos and out of them the 'Tantalus Lodge' is one of the best. It offers a free shuttle service to the slopes and there is the option to have 24 hour housekeeping services. Its amenities include a pool, shared laundry and a hot tub. It is also pet friendly.

In the upper village there are six main condos and out of them the 'Glacier Lodge' is one of the most popular. It is common for families and groups, and it is conveniently located only a few steps away from the base of the mountain. It boasts fine dining and gourmet delis as well as offering a hot tub and shared laundry.

Whistler Creekside is home to 3 different condos and out of those ones; the 'Taluswood' is the best. It has some great views and it also a really luxurious place to stay. It doesn't have many amenities though compared to some others; however it does offer Equipment storage and ski in and ski out.
