The Fontana Chalet is also a great place to stay and it boasts a very large, wood burning open fire. There is a private hot tub included as well as a two-car garage, and its amenities include cross country skiing and equipment storage. This is a comfortable place to stay and it is really casual which is perfect for people who don't want too much luxury.

Overall there really is something to suit all budgets and to suit every personal taste imaginable.

Summer and Winter Activities

Whether you visit the resort in summer or winter, there is always plenty to do for all the family. Some great activities include:
Mountain Biking
If you enjoy mountain biking, you will love Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Bike Park. It offers its guests over 200km of gravity-fed, lift serviced, descending trails. Whether you are a beginner, or an expert rider, you will find something within the park to suit your abilities. This is a great summer activity for all the family.
Sightseeing
If you prefer something a little more relaxed, then sightseeing may be the thing for you. The vast amount of Whistler wilderness, offers great opportunities for hiking and sightseeing. There really is some beautiful picturesque scenery to be explored and the trails are usually open from July to September. It is important to remember never to go sightseeing alone. Always take a partner just in case something happens.
Glacier Skiing
Glacier Skiing is a great activity to take part in if you want to prolong your skiing experience. This is because Glacier Skiing is always done in summer and it is designed to help people to ski all throughout the year. However, it is only advised that intermediate or advanced skiers should take part in Glacier Skiing, as it can be really dangerous.
Ski and Snowboard School
If you are looking to improve your skills, then the Ski and Snowboard School is definitely for you. However, it is only open to adults so if you are looking for children's skiing lessons, this isn't the place for you. Something good to know is that on 'Discover Whistler Days' the most popular programs within the school are all half price. This gives you a great opportunity to see what the school is about before you pay full price for it. There is something for all abilities and you will be learning on some of the favourite learning grounds. Having a lesson here will definitely be memorable!

Dining and Shopping Venues

There are plenty of places to dine and there is definitely something to suit all tastes. From pubs to grills, and fine dining to steak, you should find something to suit your budget. You won't have to travel far to find somewhere to eat, and the wide variety of places available means that you can try somewhere new all throughout your vacation.

The resort is also a shopper's paradise with a plaza full of shops, art galleries, boutiques and theatres. They will literally keep you entertained for hours! The shops are aimed at absolutely everyone including families, men, women and couples. So whatever you plan to do, you should find something to suit you and your budget!

Online Resources and Who to Book With

If you would like to find out more about the Whistler Blackcomb accommodation, Whistler resort properties, or just the Whistler Blackcomb Resort in general...It is the main resort website and it tells you everything from the activities to the accommodation.

There are two main ways to book your holiday with the Whistler Blackcomb Resort. These are either directly through the resort, or through a travel agent. There are advantages and disadvantages to both.

Booking through a travel agent saves a lot of hassle and they book flights and accommodation together. Or you may be able to get a discount if you go straight through the resort. Overall it will save you a lot of time booking through the travel agents, but it is completely up to you.
